This workshop was led by Sofia Maldonado, as part of her exhibition Beyond the Studio: Immersive Natural Worlds at the art_HUB.
The class started with an introduction to the sites that have inspired Sofia’s “plein-air” paintings, and how she relates to these natural environments. Then they painted canvases with acrylic paints to learn the basics: how to mix colors and setting a quick concept to start creating.
“Plein-air” painting is a fun way to reimagine and observe your surroundings.
