Bhutanese Flags: Zaida Adriana Goveo Balmaseda is a Puerto Rican-Cuban artist, weaver, and meditator based in San Juan. Her practice centers on organic and recycled materials, ancestral craft techniques, plant medicine, and the creation of sacred spaces through sculpture, installation, and ritual. Goveo Balmaseda’s work honors process, transformation, and collective energy. She has participated in numerous residencies and exhibitions, including Beta-Local, MASS MoCA, ArteFITS Foundation, and El Yunque’s Arte Natura program.
