Francesco Baronti’s exhibition explores the intersection of cultural history and surrealism, offering a fresh take on the traditional still life.
Through the use of vivid colors, especially blue, Baronti creates whimsical blue elephants with wings, imbuing his work with a sense of movement and dreamlike mystery. These elements break away from the still life genre, adding unexpected dynamism.
The exhibition also features large canvases inspired by Francisco Oller’s Plátanos Amarillos, where Baronti transforms familiar subjects with intricate patterns influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. By doing so, he honors the bodegón tradition while reinterpreting it in a modern context, inviting viewers to engage with the evolution of artistic expression.
